We hired our first 5 engineers without an office. Everyone said remote hiring would slow us down. It did the opposite. What worked for our startup: → A paid take-home task instead of a whiteboard round → Async interviews, so candidates in any time zone could apply → A written onboarding doc on day one All 5 are still with us a year later. If you’re building a remote team, what’s the one hiring step you’d never skip? #remotework #Recruiting #Interviewing #Onboarding #EmployeeExperience

Fewer, better hashtags

LinkedIn hashtags
that actually fit your post.

Most people either skip hashtags or stuff ten of them at the bottom. Neither works. Ten hashtags look like spam, and the wrong ones put your post in front of people who don’t care about it.

This free LinkedIn hashtag generator reads your post, matches the words you used against a hand-picked list of real LinkedIn hashtags, and suggests 3 to 5 that fit. It mixes one or two broad tags with a few niche ones, flags the usual mistakes, and adds the tags to the end of your post, ready to copy.

How to find hashtags for a LinkedIn post

  1. Paste your post. The suggestions update as you type.
  2. Pick your field so the suggestions match the people you write for.
  3. Tap the hashtags you want. Keep it to 3 to 5.
  4. Check the preview and copy the post with the hashtags at the end.

How many hashtags to use on LinkedIn

Three to five. That’s plenty for LinkedIn to understand what your post is about, and few enough that the post still looks like it was written by a person.

Mix them. One or two broad tags like #Leadership put you in a big pool. Two or three niche tags like #B2BSales or #ProductManagement put you in front of people who really care.

Tip: Put hashtags at the end, on their own line. Hashtags in the middle of a sentence make it hard to read.

Common LinkedIn hashtag mistakes

Too many. Anything past five starts to look like you’re fishing. All lowercase on long tags: #PersonalBranding is easier to read than #personalbranding, and screen readers read it properly. Spaces or punctuation inside a tag, which break it. And the same tag twice.

The generator flags all of these in the post you paste, so you can fix them before you post.

Broad vs niche hashtags

A broad hashtag like #Marketing or #Leadership is followed by a huge crowd, so your post is one of thousands. A niche hashtag like #ContentStrategy or #EngineeringManagement has fewer people behind it, but they’re the people who actually care about your topic.

That’s why the generator picks one or two broad tags and fills the rest with niche ones. Every tag is marked so you can see the mix before you copy.

Tip: If a hashtag would also fit a post about something completely different, it’s probably too broad to be your only one.

Questions about the LinkedIn hashtag generator.

How many hashtags should I use on LinkedIn?

Three to five works well for most posts. More than five tends to look spammy and doesn’t help people find you.

Where should hashtags go in a LinkedIn post?

At the end, on their own line. It keeps the post easy to read and still tells LinkedIn what it’s about.

Should LinkedIn hashtags use capital letters?

For tags with more than one word, yes. #PersonalBranding is easier to read than #personalbranding, and screen readers read it as two words.

Where do the suggestions come from?

From a hand-picked list of real LinkedIn hashtags for each field, matched against the words in your post. It runs in your browser with no AI, so it’s instant and your post stays on your device.

Do you show how many followers a hashtag has?

No. We don’t have reliable numbers, so we don’t make them up. Each tag is marked broad or niche instead, which is what matters when you’re picking a mix.
