What to put on your company page cover
Your job is to answer one question for a stranger: what does this company do, and is it for me? Say it in plain words. “Accounting software for teams of 5 to 50” beats “Empowering businesses with innovative solutions” every single time.
Keep it short. One line, maybe a second, and your website. The cover is wide and short, so long sentences get small fast.
Tip: Use the colours from your logo and website. When your cover, your posts and your site match, people recognise you before they read a word.
Company cover size and the logo
LinkedIn’s help centre gives 1128 × 191 pixels for the company page cover. Some page layouts show it a little larger, at 1512 × 256, which is the same shape, so a cover made here fits both. Use a JPG or PNG under 8 MB.
Your logo, 400 × 400 pixels at best, sits over the bottom-left of the cover. That’s why the templates keep text on the right. Turn on the logo guide in the preview before you download.
Your own profile next
People who visit a company page usually click through to the people behind it. Make your own profile banner at 1584 × 396 with the LinkedIn banner maker, in the same colours, and check the rest of your profile with the LinkedIn profile checker.
Posting from the company page? Turn your best lines into quote cards with the LinkedIn post image maker.
